You may not know that we’ve been a regular at WOMAD over the years but this year it will now be ten years! We’ve loved meeting lots of music lovers every year and it’s been great to chat about how we can make our world a better place. We can’t wait to return this year with our stand – so make sure you come along to say hello!
We’ll be back in the Arboretum by the Ecotricity Stage and not only will we be treating you to some fantastic music, but there will also be a number of entertaining and informative Green Britain chats. Take a look at the line-up below:
On Saturday, join Dale Vince, founder of Ecotricity and green entrepreneur, for “Zerocarbonista Live”. From 10:30 – 11:45am, Dale will be talking to Ian Collins, broadcaster and afternoon host of Talk.TV, about how we can live our lives more sustainably. They’ll discuss the biggest stories of the moment and, as always, Dale will answer questions from the audience.
If you haven’t heard of “Zerocarbonista”, it’s your chance to hear how living sustainably doesn’t mean you have to give up the things you love. It’s also your opportunity to learn about the everyday changes you could make that would have a positive impact on the planet.
Perfect for the whole family, The Ministry of Eco Education’s Big Lesson will be on the Ecotricity Stage on Sunday at 10:30am. Join us for a live lesson on how Forest Green Rovers FC have become the world’s greenest football club – from the plant-based food they consume to the renewable energy they produce to power the club.
This interactive workshop will help the whole family to understand how human activity causes the climate and nature crisis, explained through simple and memorable games. We hope you’ll leave feeling passionate and empowered to create a greener Britain. Whatever age, we can all play our part!
